About

Hooked from the very first tattoo

The moment I got my first tattoo, I was hooked. It was the art itself, and the fact that it would stay in the skin forever. From then on I was obsessed with learning everything I could about tattooing.

I did my first tattoo in 2011, and after that all I wanted to do was tattoo. I never imagined it could one day become my living. Over the years I've worked in lots of different styles, but the one I love most is black and grey, and the challenge of getting it perfectly smooth. Colour has never interested me in the same way. Even as a kid, I only ever drew with pencils.

There's nothing I won't take on in black and grey, and portraits especially push me to do my best work. For the past 13 years I've owned and run my own studio, Boundless Ink, in Aldridge, Walsall.

Every piece starts with a conversation: your idea, your references and how the design will sit on the body. From there I build a custom design focused on depth, contrast and smooth tonal work that holds up long after it's healed.
